NACE Event Design Trends

What comes around once a year, is fabulously creative, and rewarded by a group of equally outside-the-box thinkers? NACE Event Design Trends... a competition of event design concepts, and coincidentally a party for the party-makers. : ) I admit, I love to going to events as a guest, although I do usually bring my camera because it is simply extension of myself. Check out these design concepts and see if they don't lead to some creative thoughts about the possibilities for your next event.

An artists' table by Your Event Solution (just say "YES"!), awarded third place.

Bold American's elegant solid black concept, complete with black birds and black flatware, awarded second place.

This table by A Legendary Event generated the most buzz and the most votes for first place- it a sustainable table of succulent plants with place settings for both celebrities and our nation's leaders.

Others of note were this sweetheart table by Perfect Petals.

A table top made entirely of CAKE, decorated to match the table skirt. The aroma of frosting was distinguishable from several feet away!

This was the "Party's Over" table, demonstrating just how far things can go. Note that the chandelier is taped together, the Grey Goose is emptied of its last drops, and where, oh, where is the once well-dressed man? An inspired display by Michael and his team at the IceCaterers.

Just a few of the people who bring you Atlanta's best events-

Lei Lydle and me.

Cathy Rose Rader and Mike Moreland with Lei.

Fun-loving friends Janice Blackmon and Kim Crowder. Kim and I are devoted doggie moms, we had an extended convo about how to best balance work and doggie parenting.

Click here to view a slideshow from the event or check out the facebook album. Cheers!
