Over my holiday break in NYC, I was frankly too cold to make any serious attempts at characterizing the city in images. I know it's been a little chilly in Atl lately, but it doesn't compare on any level to the biting wind of New York City in the winter. It hurts your face. It hurts your fingers if you expose them only for a moment. I did brave two hours in Times Square on New Year's Eve, but I've never been colder in my life! Even in my warmest boots, my feet quickly felt like frozen hammers, and once I officially wimped out I couldn't have been happier to eat french fries in the semi-warmth of McDonalds. On my last morning, I was determined to grab a few shots before heading to the airport. These images are from Battery Park, the Lower East Side, Chinatown, and of course the good old dirty, smelly, Chez Rat, convenient subway. I'm looking forward to going back in the fall to gather a few more images in warmer conditions.
