Halloween for President

Getting there is half the fun... Preparing for Halloween and gradually finding my way to a few parties proved to be an adventure this year. First, a trip to the corner beauty shop for the Palin updo to end all others. I was greeted by a stylist covered in white balloons, who introduced herself as "Bubbles". I sat under a classic-style hairdryer to have my rollers set and left an hour later with a carefully shellacked hair creation. I completed the look with my smartest glasses, favorite suit, and a few accessories such as a Republican baby, guns, and the biggest American flag pin I could get shipped priority this week. My friends warned me- "You won't be the only Sarah Palin!" but I couldn't care less. When party-goers accosted me with, "You're the fourth Palin I've seen tonight!", I responded that I was actually Tina Fey.

One of my favorite aspects of the persona was the wave- I can completely understand how politicians would enjoy offering their public this gesture of magnanimity. All is well (or will be)! I'm important! So are you!

If you haven't already, VOTE NOV 4. To borrow from Stephen Colbert, "I love America and so can you!"

I'll sign off with this photo of me with my fabulous date, who couldn't see well and therefore had no idea how many people were freaked out by the headless costume! Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween.
