Bethany & Scott :: Historic Roswell Mill

Part of how I try to balance my calendar is by scheduling only a few engagement sessions during the very popular fall season. We consistently sell out in October for weddings, but for those clients who book early and request fall portraits well in advance, I'm happy to accommodate. Bethany and Scott were one of three couples who portraits I've shot recently, and something that makes me really happy about these images is that they don't look like other times I've visited the Roswell Mill. It's beyond important to me to do something new rather than relying what worked in the past. Which is also an interesting way for me to trace my development as a photographer, as objectively as possible, because I'm building on what I've learned. I don't think I know everything, but I do know how to create images that make my clients happy, and I always hope that in the time that passes between when the contract is signed and the event takes place, I've gotten better at communicating with my camera. Surprised at how much I'm talking today? I might be turning a corner...

Without further ado, many thanks to Bethany and Scott for their trust and enthusiasm. I'm looking forward to seeing how sunflowers are incorporated into the wedding decor, they are one of my favorite flowers (and symbols), too!
